I am so paranoid about this! I shred everything I throw in the trash that even has my name on it! I am scared though that people may take my mail out of the box before I get home… I have been thinking about getting one with a lock instead…

By reading your post, I remeber a story of a friend. She is a victim of identity theft. A lesbian created a Facebook profile of a certain guy and deceive my friend through her sweet words and kindness. I’m really thankful that my friend was able to learn that the whole scenario is a freakin drama of a psychotic lesbian.

does this really go on? i’ve heard of it happening, but very rarely, especially when credit cards and such have good fraud coverage.

Shredding should always be done with old bills and statements unless you want your information lying in the bin outside for anyone to know. Important identity theft tip there.
